On Sunday, April 11, 2010, an officer was dispatched to a residence on Woodhill Drive in reference to a male juvenile involved in a physical confrontation with his father. Upon arrival, the officer met with the involved parties and an investigation was conducted. The 14 year old male was arrested and charged with Domestic Violence, Unruly Child, Aggravated Menacing, Criminal Mischief, and Prohibition of Tobacco. He was transported to the Detention Home. | |

On Wednesday, April 14, 2010, at approximately 2:45am, officers were dispatched to Pinecrest Apartments, Middle Ridge Road, in regards to a domestic violence complaint. An investigation was conducted and it was determined two intoxicated brothers, along with the mother's intoxicated live-in-boyfriend, all attempted to cause physical harm to each other during a fight inside the apartment. Lauro De Haro-Sandoval, age 21, Jonathan McCann, age of 22, and Steven McCann, age 21, were all arrested and charged with two counts of Domestic Violence. Another male in the residence, Charles Dotson, age 20 of Amherst, was cited for Underage Consumption. | |

On Thursday, April 15, 2010, at approximately 2:14am, an officer, while on patrol on Cooper Foster Park Road and State Route 58, observed a vehicle weaving from side to side within its lane of travel. The vehicle crossed over the double yellow lines in the center of the roadway several times, and at one point, went off the roadway . A traffic stop was initiated and an investigation was conducted. The driver, Wesley Miller, age 31 of Vermilion, was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, State Refusal, Weaving Course, Marked Lanes, Paraphernalia, and Possession of Marijuana. | |

On Thursday, April 15, 2010, at 11:45am, officers, while on patrol on State Route 58 near Cooper Foster Park Road, observed a vehicle fail to signal prior to turning into the entrance to Taco Bell. Due to the traffic violation, a traffic stop was initiated and an investigation was conducted. The driver, Mitchell Hagg, age 19 of Amherst, was arrested and charged with Possession of Heroin, Drug Paraphernalia, Drug Abuse Instrument and Turn Signal. | |

On Friday, April 16, 2010, at approximately 1:20am, an officer, while on patrol on Middle Ridge Road near the west city limits, observed a vehicle weaving from side to side within its lane of travel, run off of the roadway several times, and at one point, nearly struck several mail boxes. A traffic stop was initiated and an investigation was conducted. The driver, Jeremy Schamp, age 24 of Amherst, was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, Driving under Suspension, BAC over .170%, Weaving Course, Marked Lanes, Paraphernalia, Possession of Marijuana, and Open Container. | |

On Friday, April 16, 2010, at 11:31am, an officer was dispatched to a residence on Forest Hill Drive in reference to an assault complaint. Upon arrival, the officer met with the victim who advised he was assaulted by his girlfriend, Alyson Sweany, age 20 of Amherst, while they were driving down the road. An investigation was conducted and Ms. Sweany was arrested and charged with Domestic Violence. | |

On Friday, April 16, 2010, at approximately 5:23pm, officers were dispatched to check the area of Minerva Street and Shupe Avenue in reference to a vehicle that had struck a pickup truck. Upon arrival, the vehicle was located and an investigation was conducted. The driver, George Adams Jr., age 60 of Amherst, was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, BAC over .08%, and Failure to Control. | |

On Sunday, April 17, 2010, at approximately 2:38am, officers were dispatched to a residence on Hall Court in reference to a disturbance with people yelling and being loud. Upon arrival, contact with made with several people and an investigation was conducted. Brittany Ziehm and Joshua Meade, both age 20 of Amherst, were issued citations for Underage Consumption. Christopher Podlich, age 19 of Amherst, was issued a citation for Sales to Underage Persons, Underage Consumption, and Disturbing the Peace. | |

On Saturday, April 17, 2010, at approximately 4:20pm, an officer was dispatched to Target, Oak Point Road, regarding a shoplifter in custody. Upon arrival, the officer met with security personnel and an investigation was conducted. Humberto Zendejas Jr., age 29 of Norwalk, was arrested and charged with Petty Theft. |
